This is a score cue from an imaginary horror film. The main character is losing his sense of self and humanity as some kind of evil takes hold.

Argon Cranes wrote and recorded "The Soul Leaks Out" as part of a series of cues, but most were lost in a bizarre set of circumstances. This dissolving number is all that remains.

Argon brought in Aaron to help with mixing, which showed quite the audacity on Argon's part, considering how Aaron's mixing skills aren't awesome. However, Argon's whole deal was to try to make the cue as rough as possible in order to fully relay the degradation of the main character's corporeal and spiritual identity.

"I was pleased that Argon approached me to release the song via Vehlinggo Presents, but I was pretty surprised he wanted me involved in the production at all," Vehling says. "However, I get his motivation behind it all and I'm just excited to be along for the ride."

Argon hates any publicity that deviates from a focus on the art, but after some gentle nudges from Aaron he obliged.

"I've released a lot of bad music over the years and have sometimes been too deep into DIY tactics or single-take dreams," he says. "But for once in my life I think I've pulled it off. It's a damn shame I lost all the other cues, though. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be?"
